Superb quality, Official issue, full-size bronze Belgian Croix de Guerre with Palm and original mounting pin.
Particularly well struck and finished medal, typical of high quality medals of this period.  One of the nicest examples of this medal to be found.  Overall measurement (ribbon and medal) is 108 mm (4 1/4 inches) high X 38 mm (1 1/2 inches) wide. Medal planchet only (not including suspension ring) measures 63 mm (2 1/2 inches) high X 38 mm (1 1/2 inches) wide.  An excellent example of a wartime award presented, in addition to Belgian troops, to Allied soldiers including American, for exceptional acts of Gallantry. A prestigious award, greatly treasured by the recipient.
