Well marked on the back. I can't find any chips, cracks, nor scratches. If one is being VERY particular, the gold rim might have some slight marks, but this is not easily seen unless looking extremely close. They are not scratches thru to the white porcelain & may just be minor variations of the manufacturing process. Beautiful artwork. Comes in the original Styrofoam shipping carton & with the stand you assemble yourself.
