About The Product
This is a clear oil based gilder’s adhesive (size) for slow leaf work. It provides excellent durability, flexibility and longer open time for interior and exterior surface gilding applications. The L.A. Gold Leaf Slow Set Size gilding size will achieve tack in approximately 10 to 12 hours and the tack will remain for approximately 24 hours. Total hard dry occurs in about 72 hours. It should be noted that tack and dry times are subjective to the gilder’s technique, thickness of the film and are approximate depending on the ambient temperature and humidity when applied.
Directions
The surface to be gilded must be thoroughly clean, dry, and made smooth as possible by sanding and filing. Surface preparation and priming is important to achieve the proper adhesion between the substrate and the metal leaf. Apply this product at packaged consistency. If thinning is necessary, use mineral spirits. To prolong tack time beyond 24 hours, add one ounce of castor oil per quart.

Return and Refund policy
You may return unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. All returned items will be examined prior to the credit being processed, All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging. If the item returned is not the result of our error, the shipping cost of that returned item will be deducted from your refund. In the case of lost items during delivery, upon completing of an investigation by the post-office, we will refund you the amount.
