Takahashi San Francisco Cat Plates, Pair (2), Blue Eyes, Hand Painted

Description

For sale is a set of two (2) resting cat plates by Takahashi San Francisco. The hand painted plates feature white cats with black spots, blue eyes and a pink ribbon. Additional details include pink nose & tongue; gray eyebrows, whiskers and toes. There is a nice contrast with the white base and black spots and gentle pinks.
The plates display beautifully, without damage or utensil marks, but do show age under close inspection. There is some light shelf wear in the black areas on the top and on the bottom rim. Both plates have crazing. There are production divots on the edges of both plates; they are near or on the underside edge and can appear as small chips if not for appearing in the same location on many pieces.
